Only 2nd Win for the Season
Juventus Football Club, colloquially known as Juve, celebrated a much-needed victory in the Turin derby on Saturday, defeating their city rivals Torino 2-0. The win is only the second for Juve in Serie A this season, and it provides some much-needed relief for manager Massimiliano Allegri.
Goals from Gatti and Milik
Boyhood Torino fan Federico Gatti opened the scoring for Juve in the 13th minute, heading home a cross from Filip Kostic. Arkadiusz Milik doubled Juve's lead just before halftime, finishing off a move started by Dusan Vlahovic.
Juve held on comfortably in the second half, with Torino unable to create any clear-cut chances. The win moves Juve up to 8th in the Serie A standings, while Torino remains in 10th.
Allegri was pleased with his team's performance, saying: "We played with great intensity and determination today. We knew that this was a big game for our fans, and we wanted to give them something to cheer about."
